Why: The pedestrian connectivity gap along Barnwell Road (from Niblick Drive to Rivermont Parkway) is the sixth prioritized section based on the City’s Sidewalk Policy, which awards points based on which awards points based on pedestrian safety, last mile connectivity, and constructability. Additionally, once completed this would create a continuous pedestrian connection from Holcomb Bridge Road to Old Alabama Road connecting five neighborhoods to the Jones Bridge unit of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.
What: The project would add a trail (wide sidewalk) on Barnwell Road (between Niblick Drive and Rivermont Parkway).
