The Johns Creek Police Department Crisis Intervention Team (C.I.T.) is a team of specially trained officers who come in contact with individuals in a state of crisis due to a mental illness.

The CIT officers administer
de-escalation techniques to effectively reduce of potential injury to the consumer (mentally ill person) and the officer. The program also provides follow up measures such as resources and education to further enhance the problem solving process.
