The Johns Creek Police Department’s Clinician & Officer Response Team’s (CORT) provides provide law enforcement services at the highest professional level with service delivery that sets the standard.

Services include:

  • Assess the need for immediate mental health services
  • Assist to calm individuals in distress
  • Provide information about mental health resources available for the individual and their family

If you believe someone may be experiencing a mental health crisis or may benefit from on-scene support from Mental Health Clinician, call 911 and tell the dispatcher that the Clinician may be needed.

Additional mental health crisis resources, including suicide counseling, is available at the 988 Georgia Suicide and Crisis Lifeline which can be reached by dialing 9-8-8.

Jessica Brown, Mental Health Clinician

Jessica Brown serves as the Mental Health Clinician for the Johns Creek Police C.O.R.T., a specialty team which focuses exclusively on behavioral health.  She co-responds to crisis calls with CORT officers as well as offers in-house counseling services to the officers and their immediate family members.

Jessica has more than thirteen years of clinical experience. She has worked in a variety of settings such as: private practice, school-based, inpatient, residential, substance abuse, community mental health and managed care. She worked extensively with individuals and families and has specialized training working with Military Veterans and First Responders. 

 Jessica is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and also hold certifications as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and as an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC).
