Interior finishes are reviewed to ensure that buildings are being constructed to a high degree of fire and life safety for the public.

I-000    All Corrections shall be clouded and delta numbered.  For corrections or revisions to whole plan sheets, you need only cloud the sheet number and provide the delta identification number.  Please include a separate itemized response letter, which is numbered to correspond to each of the below noted items.  This letter must clearly address how each issue has been corrected or resolved.  The response letter shall be typewritten on letterhead noting the project name and the permit application number.  NOTE; Failure to provide this letter may result in review delays or the rejection of the resubmittal.                                                                  
I-001    Provide a Life Safety egress plan to include the following components;          1) Provide the travel distance measurements, using the actual travel distance, not the code required maximum travel distance, and the route to be taken from the most remote area of the tenant space to the exits.   2) All obstructions within the egress path must be shown to include cubes, office furniture, equipment, and display shelving.  3) For the purpose of  calculating the design occupant load for the area being renovated, constructed or otherwise being altered please note the square footage of the individual rooms or areas on the Life Safety Plan. 4) Along with the square footage required in #3 above.  Provide the occupant load factor, based on Table 7.3.1.2 of the LSC 2018 Ed, for the individual rooms or areas in question.   5) Calculate the designed occupant load for each room or area and note the total occupant load for the project.                                                                NOTE; You may exclude any restrooms or dedicated hallways or corridors from the designed occupant load.

I-002    APPLICABLE CODES;  These code references shall be placed on the cover sheet 0f your drawings.  NFPA 101 Life Safety Code (LSC), 2012 Ed;  Rules and Regulations of the State Minimum Fire Safety Standards, Chap 120-3-3, 2012 Ed.; Georgia Accessibility Code, 120-3-20A, 2010 Ed.; International Fire Code (IFC), 2012 Ed 

I-003    This review does not include any comments or concerns that may be generated by a plan review conducted by the City of Johns Creek Building Division.  You may receive separate comments from the Building Division, which will be independent of this review.  Prior to resubmitting to the City of Johns Creek Fire Department please make sure to incorporate any corrections that may be required by the Building Division plan review

I-004    The following shall be placed on the cover sheet of the submitted drawings;  Occupancy type per the NFPA 101 LSC 2018 Ed_____; Type of construction per the IBC; 2018 Ed_____; Fire sprinklered per LSC and NFPA 13; 2019 Ed_____; Fire alarm per LSC and NFPA 72; 2019 Ed_____; Construction area square footage_____; Number of stories of the building_____; Calculated occupant load per NFPA 101 LSC; 2018 Ed_____ .

I-005    The submitted plans have been reviewed for code compliance and appears to meet code requirements at this time.  Final approval of the project is subject to final field inspections.  This project has been approved for Fire Marshal's Office permitting, however, you are still responsible to address any other comments that you may have received from the city building inspections division.  You will be notified when your permit is ready for pick up.  

I-006    The attached comments are for the contractors information.  A copy of the comments will be attached to the job copy of the plans and shall remain attached until the final inspection is completed.

I-008    Contact the City of Johns Creek Permits Department at 678-512-3330 to schedule your 50%, 80% and 100% inspection.

I-109     Any changes, deletions or additions to the project approved stamped drawings shall be submitted to the City of Johns Creek Fire Department, for review and approval, prior to making the changes, deletions or additions on the job site. Authority Having Jurisdiction

I-010    The suite number/letter shall be displayed on all exterior doors, to include any rear doors, of the tenant space.  The numbers/letters shall be a minimum of 3" in height on a contrasting color to the background.  IFC 2018 Ed.; Chap. 4; Sect 408.11.2. Autority Having Jurisdiction

I-012    This project does not come under the jurisdiction of the City of Johns Creek Fire Marshal's Office.

I-014    Permit Fees are payable at the time of final plans approval

I-016    Provide the numerical address for this building.  The address is available from the City of Johns Creek GIS Mapping Division 678-512-3287

I-018    The address shall be visible from the street. The building address shall be a minimum of 6" characters on contrasting background.  City of Johns Creek Development Regulations. Chap. 7, Sect. 7.3.8; IFC 2018 Ed; Chap 5, Sect. 505.1

I-020    Provide the suite number/letter for this tenant space. IFC 2018 Ed.Chap. 4, Sect. 408.11.2 

I-022    Effective 3/15/2012 the Georgia State Fire Marshals Office has adopted the 2010 ADA Guidelines as the Georgia Accessibility Code Sect. 120-3-20A.  In the future please refer to this document to assist in your plan submittals

I-024    If tenant walls_____, Restrooms_____, HVAC_____, or electrical are shown on the shell only drawing plans interior finish permits shall be required

I-026    When dividing tenant spaces from one space into two or more spaces, separate plans shall be submitted for each newly created tenant space. 

I-027    Tenant spaces identified as "White Box" or "Spec Space" are not designed for occupancy.  A separate set of stamped plans shall be submitted when a business name and type of occupancy has been identified for that space.  No occupancy is allowed until the new set of plans have been submitted and approved by Johns Creek with a new permit number to establish a certificate of Occupancy for that space.

I-028    Supply this office with a fixture plan of shelving, racking, conveyor systems, machinery location and cubicle arrangement.  Show both plan and elevation views.  Additional exit and emergency lighting may be required.

I-030    Your plan submittal is missing the following drawing(s).  Architectural_____:  Structural_____:  Mechanical_____:  Plumbing_____:  Electrical_____:  Disabled Accessibility_____:.  Additional plan review comments will be issued upon receipt of these drawings.

I-032    Operating features shall be provided for this occupancy based on the occupancy type.   NFPA 101 LSC; 2018 Ed.

I-033    Plans for this project bearing the seal and signature of a Georgia Registered Architect or Engineer are required for final plan review. City of Johns Creek Code of Ordinances 105-52(b)(3)

LIFE SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

I-100    The common path of travel measurements shall meet the requirements of the occupancy chapter for this project.  NFPA 101 LSC; Annex A; Table A-7-6;  2018 Ed.

I-102    The capacity of the means of egress shall meet the requirements of the occupancy chapter for this project and shall be based on the calculated occupant load for that occupancy type.  NFPA 101  LSC;  Chap. 7; Sect. 7.2.1.2.  2018 Ed.

I-104    Door openings in the means of egress shall be not less than 32 inches in clear width.  NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7 Sect. 7.2.1.2.3.2;  2018 Ed. and Georgia Accessibility Code,; 120-3-20A; Chap.4; Sect. 404.2.2; 2010 Ed.

I-106    The elevation of the floor surfaces on both sides of a door shall not vary by more than 1/2 inch.  The elevation shall be maintained for a distance not less than the width of the widest leaf.  NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7; Sect. 7.2.1.3; 2018 Ed.

I-108    Door swing and force to open shall comply with the requirements of NFPA 101 LSC; Chap 7; Sect. 7.2.1.4;  2018 Ed.;  Georgia accessibility Code 120-3-20A; Chap.4; Sect 404.2.9; 2010 Ed. 

I-110    The forces required to fully open any door manually in the means of egress shall not exceed 15lbf to release the latch, 30lbf to start the door in motion, and 15 lb. to open the door to the required width.  NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7; sect. 7.2.1.4.5; 2018 Ed.

I-112    Locks, latches, and alarm devices, on doors in the means of egress shall comply with the requirements of NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7 Sect. 7.2.1.5;  2018 Ed.  Georgia Accessibility Code; 120-3-20A;  Chap. 4; Sect. 404.2.7; 2010 Ed.

I-114    Panic hardware and fire exit hardware shall be provided on all exit doors as required by the occupancy chapter for the particular project being constructed. NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7; Sect. 7.2.1.7;  2018 Ed.

I-116    Powered door leaf operation shall comply with the requirements of NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7; Sect 7.2.1.9;  2018 Ed.;  Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A; Chap. 4; Sect. 404.3; 2010 Ed.

I-118    Stairs used as a component in the means of egress shall conform to the general requirements of Sect. 7.1 and to the special requirements of Sect. 7.2.2 unless otherwise specified in Sect. 7.2.2.1.2.  Stair construction shall comply with the requirements of NFPA 101 LSC; Chap.7; Sect. 7.2.2.2 thru 7.2.2.3.6.6.; 2018 Ed.;  Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A;  Chap. 5; Sect. 504. 1 thru Sect 504.5;  2010 Ed.

I-120    Guards in accordance with 7.2.2.4 shall be provided at the open sides of means of egress that exceed 30 in. above the floor or the finished ground level below.  NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7; Sect; 7.1.8. 2018 Ed.

I-119    Guards required above shall comply with the requirements of NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7; Sect. 7.2.2.4.5.1 thru 7.2.2.4.5.3; 2018 Ed.

I-122     Stairs and ramps shall have handrails on both sides, unless otherwise permitted in 7.2.2.4.1.5 or 7.2.2.4.1.6..  NFPA 101 LSC; Chap.7; Sect. 7.2.2.4.1;  2018 Ed. And the Georgia Accessibility Code;  120-3-20A; Chap. 5; Sect. 505.1 thru 505.10.3;  2010 Ed.

I-124    Handrail design and construction shall comply with the requirements of  NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7; Sect. 7.2.2.4.4.1 thru 7.2.2.4.4.11;  2018 Ed.

I-126    New enclosed stairs serving three or more stories and existing enclosed stairs serving five or more stories shall comply with the requirements of NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7; Sect. 7.2.2.5.4.1(A) thru 7.2.2.5.4.1(M); 2018 Ed 

I-128    Outside stairs shall comply with the requirements of NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7; Sect 7.2.2.6.1 thru 7.2.2.6.6;  2018 Ed.

I-130    Every ramp used as a component in a means of egress shall conform to the general requirements of Sect. 1 and the special requirements of Sect. 7.2.5.2 thru 7.2.5.6.2; 2018 Ed.

I-132    Area of refuge and rescue assistance for non-sprinklered accessible buildings shall be provided per the requirements of the NFPA 101 LSC; Chap 7; Sect. 7.2.12; 2018 Ed.; Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A; Chap 2; Sect. 216.4.2; 2010 Ed. 

I-134    Elevators and escalators shall meet the requirements of ANSI/ASMEA17.1; NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7; Sect. 7.2.13 and Chap. 9; Sect. 9.4; 2012 Ed.; and Georgia Accessibility Code 120.3.20A; Chap. 4;  Sect. 407 and Chap. 8; Sect. 810.9; 2010 Ed.

I-136    The required number of means of egress shall be based on the calculated occupant load of the project.  1 to 49 occupants, a minimum of 1; 50 to 499 occupants, a minimum of 2; 500 to 1000 occupants, a minimum of 3; more than 1000 occupants, a minimum of 4;   NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7; Sect. 7.4;  2018 Ed.

I-138    The arrangement and remoteness of the means of egress shall meet the requirements of the occupancy chapter for this project.  NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7; Sect. 7.5.1.1 and Sect. 7.5.1.3;   2018 Ed.

I-140    Access to exits shall not be through kitchens, restrooms, workrooms, closets or storerooms, or other spaces or areas subject to locking.  NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7; Sect. 7.5.2.1;  2018 Ed.

I-142    Travel distance to the means of egress shall meet the requirements of the occupancy chapter for this project.  NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7; Sect. 7.6.1; and annex A; A-7-6-1;   2018 Ed.

I-144    Dead end limit measurements shall comply with the requirements of the appropriate occupancy chapter of the NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. Table A7; Sect. A7.6.1;  2018 Ed.

I-146    Emergency lighting and emergency exit signs shall comply with the requirements of.  NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 7; Sect. 7.9;  2018 Ed. And the Authority Having Jurisdiction  

I-148    All emergency lighting and/or emergency exit signs shall provide and easily accessible test switch/button.  Any lens cover that blocks or restricts access to the testing switch shall be modified, or redesigned, to provide clear unobstructed access for future inspections.

I-149    Means of egress, including the exit discharge, shall be illuminated at all times the building space served by the means of egress is occupied. IBC 10006.1; 2018Ed. 

I-150    Exit signage and Emergency lighting, will be evaluated for location and required lighting intensity at final inspection.  Authority Having Jurisdiction

I-152    Fire barriers shall comply with the requirements of NFPA 101 LSC;  Chap. 8; Sect 8.3.1; 2018 Ed. And shall be of _____hour rated construction

I-154    Exit access through store rooms shall comply with the requirements of NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 36 and 37; Sect. 36.2.5.10 and 37.2.5.10;  2018 Ed. 

I-156    All fire/smoke barriers or walls shall be effectively and permanently identified, with signs or stenciling, above a decorative ceiling and/or in concealed spaces with letters a minimum of 2 inches high on a contrasting background spaced a maximum of 12 feet on center with a minimum of one per wall or barrier.  The hourly rating shall be included on all rated barriers or walls.  Suggested wording "_____hour fire and smoke barrier-protect all openings".  NFPA 101 LSC. Chap. 8; Sect. 8.3.1.4; 2018 Ed. as amended by OCGA Title 25 Sect. 120-3-3

I-158    Penetrations into or through either vertical or horizontal fire rated barriers shall be protected by a system listed by a recognized testing agency.  Provide a detail and listing number per the requirements of NFPA 101 LSC; Chap 8; Sect, 8.3.5 thru 8.3.5.6.3; 2018 Ed.

I-160    Vertical openings shall be enclosed per the requirements of  NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 8; Sect 8.6.1 thru 8.6.5; 2018 Ed.

I-162    Atriums shall comply with the requirements of NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 8; Sect. 8.6.7; 2018 Ed.

I-164    Mezzanines shall comply with the requirements of NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 8; Sect. 8.6.10.1 thru 8.6.10.3.2; 2018 ED.

I-166    Concealed spaces  in new type lll, type lV or type V construction with materials having a flame spread rating greater than class A shall be protected per the requirements of NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 8; Sect. 8.6.11.1 thru 8.6.11.5; 2018 Ed.

I-168    Unoccupied attic Space, of type III, IV, or V construction, shall be divided by draft stops into areas not to exceed 3,000 sq. ft.   The draft stops shall be constructed of material as described in the International Building Code Chap. 7; Sect. 718.4.2 exception 3; 2018 Ed. They shall have a ceiling access panel a minimum of 22 in. x 36 in..  The access panel shall provide access to the primary attic entry space and a maximum of 1 space either side of the primary access space.  Provide spring loaded , latching doors for entry into the secondary spaces. I-170    Smoke detectors shall be installed on the supply side, in return air systems, with a design capacity of 2000 cfm or more.  NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 9; Sect 9.2.1; 2018 Ed. and International Mechanical Code; Chap. 6; Sect. 606.2.1; 2018 Ed. As amended by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs

I-172    Details for all fire rated wall, floor ceiling, and ceiling assemblies shall be provided by a recognized testing agency, UL, FM, Etc.  Details and assembly test number shall be attached to the drawings.  Authority having jurisdiction

I-174    Elevator lobby protection shall be provided.  NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 9; Sect. 9.4.2.1; 2018 Ed. as amended by OCGA Title 25; Sect. 120-3-3

I-176    Chutes and incinerators shall meet the requirements of NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 9; Sect. 9.5; 2018 ED.

I-178    Combustible interior finish products shall comply with the requirements of the occupancy chapter for this project.  NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 10; Sect. 10.2.2.1;  2018 Ed.

I-180    Elevated or spring type floor systems used in dance studios, dance clubs, gymnastic training centers or any other occupancy shall be reviewed and approved prior to installation.  Any system installed after the Certificate of Occupancy is issued without prior approval is a violation of the adopted codes of the City of Johns Creek

I-184    Operating features shall be provided for this occupancy based on the occupancy type.   NFPA 101 LSC; 2018 Ed.


DISABLED ACCESSIBILITY 

I-200    All walks, corridors, aisles, skywalks, tunnels and other spaces that are part of an accessible route shall comply with the requirements of The Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A; Chap 4; Sect 401;  2010 Ed.

I-202    Objects protruding from walls, freestanding, overhead, overhanging objects and objects hanging from posts and pylons shall be installed per the requirements of The Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A; Chap. 3: Sect. 307;  2010 Ed.

I-204    Thresholds at doorways shall be 1/2 in. high maximum.  Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A; Chap 4; Sect 404.2.5; 2010 Ed. 

I-206    Minimum maneuvering clearances on either side of a door shall comply with the requirements of The Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A;  Chap. 4; Sect 404.2.4 thru 404.2.6; 2010 Ed.

I-208    Door and gate closers shall be adjusted so that from an open position of 90 degrees, the time required to move the door to a position of 12 degrees from the latch is 5 seconds minimum.  Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A;  Chap. 4; Sect. 404.2.8.1; 2010 Ed.

I-210    Where required by other Codes drinking fountains shall be provided.  They shall be installed per The Georgia Accessibility Code;  Chap.  3;  Sect. 307;  Chap 6; Sect. 602; 2010 Ed.

I-212    Where required water closets and toilet compartments are required to have a rear and side wall or partition.  They shall be a minimum of 16" and a maximum of 18" from the required side wall or partition.  The seat height shall be a minimum of 17" above the finished floor and a maximum of 19" above the finished floor.  The flush lever shall be installed on the open side of the water closet .  Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A; Chap.604.2 thru Sect. 604.8.3; 2010 Ed.

I-214    Grab bars shall be provided.  Fixed sidewall grab bars shall be a minimum of 42" in length, a minimum of 12" from the rear wall and a minimum of 33" and a maximum of 36" above the finished floor.  A vertical grab bar 18" minimum in length shall be mounted with the bottom of the grab bar mounted a minimum of 39" and a maximum of 41" above the finished floor and the center line a minimum of 39" and a maximum of 41" from the rear wall.  Rear wall grab bars shall be a minimum of 36" in length and shall extend a minimum of 12" from the centerline of the commode to the nearest side wall and 24" on the transfer side. They shall be installed 33" to 36" above the finished floor.  Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A;  Chap.6; Sect. 604.5.1 thru 604.5.2.  2010 Ed

!-215    A vertical grab bar, 18 in. minimum in length shall be provided.  It shall be mounted a minimum of 39 in. and a maximum of 41 in. above the finished floor and the center line a minimum 39 in. and a maximum 41 in. from the rear wall.  Georgia Accessibility Code120-3-20A; Chap. 6; Sect 604.5.1 thru 604.5.2; 2010 Ed
I-216    Wall hung urinals shall be mounted a maximum of 17" above the finished floor to the top of the lip.  They shall be a minimum of 13 1/2" in depth measured from the outer face of the lip to the wall.  Stall type are permitted to be used with no special installation requirements.  Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A; 6; Sect. 605. 1 thru Sect. 605.4; 2010 Ed.

I-218    Lavatories and sinks shall be installed per the requirements of the Georgia Accessibility Code; Chap. 6 Sect. 606.1 thru 606.7

I-220      When mirrors are provided over a lavatory or counter they shall be installed a maximum of 40" above the finished floor to the bottom of the reflecting surface.  Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A; Chap. 6; Sect. 603.3; 2010 Ed.

I-222    Bathtubs shall be provided and installed per The Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A; Chap 6; Sect. 607.1 thru 607.8; 2010 Ed.

I-224    Showers shall be provided and installed per The Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A; Chap. 6; Sect 608.1 thru 608.8; 2010 Ed.

I-226    Doors shall not swing into the clear floor space required for any fixture.  The Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A; Chap. 6; Sect. 603.2.2; 2010 Ed.

I-228    Detectable warnings shall be provided and installed per The Georgia Accessibility code 120-3-20A; Chap. 7; Sect. 705.1 thru Sect. 705.6 ; 2010 Ed.

I-230    Entrances, which are not accessible, shall have directional signage to the nearest accessible entrance. Georgia Accessibility Code 12-3-20A; Chap. 2; Sect. 216.6; 2010 Ed.

I-232    Signage shall be provided and installed per The Georgia Accessibility code 120-3-20A; chap. 7; Sect 703.1 thru703.9; 2010 Ed.

I-234    Assembly occupancies shall provide seating and viewing areas per The Georgia Accessibility Code; 120-3-20A;  Chap. 8; Sect. 802.1 thru sect 802.10.4; 2010 Ed 

I-236    Automated teller machines shall be installed per The Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A; Chap. 7; sect. 707.1 thru 707.10; 2010 Ed.

I-238    Dressing and fitting rooms shall comply with The Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A; Chap 8; Sect. 803.1 thru sect. 803 5; 2010 Ed.

I-240    The minimum size of a toilet room shall be 5' 9" x 7'.  Authority having jurisdiction   

I-242    Provide an accessible counter area a maximum of 36" in height above the finished floor, to the top of the counter, and a minimum 36 in. wide.  Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A; Chap 3; Sect. 305 and Sect. 306; Chap. 9; Sect. 902.1 thru 902.3; 2010 Ed.  To be provided at the point of sale desk. Provide elevations

I-244    Clearance around a water closet shall be 60 inches minimum measured perpendicular from side wall and 56 inches minimum measured perpendicular from rear wall. Georgia Accessibility Code, 120-3-20A; Chap. 6; Sect. 604.3.1 : 2010 Ed (Basically, 60 inches from side wall to side of sink is required to be clear)
 

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS

I-300    Fire extinguishers shall be provided per the requirements of the occupancy chapter for this project.  IFC; Chap. 9; Sect. 906; 2018 Ed. as amended by OCGA Title 25; 120-3-3  Fire extinguishers shall be installed a maximum of 48" above the finished floor.  Georgia Accessibility Code 120-3-20A; Chap 3; Sect. 308.2.1; 2010 Ed.  Fire extinguishers will be evaluated for location and size at final inspection  Authority Having Jurisdiction

I-302    A Class K, kitchen, fire extinguisher shall be within 30' of all cooking surfaces.  IFC;  Chap. 9; Sect. 906.1(2);  2018 Ed.

COMMERCIAL KITCHEN HOOD, DUCT AND FIRE                               SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS; Source Exhaust System

I-400    Cooking equipment used in processes producing smoke or grease laden vapors shall be equipped with an exhaust system that complies with all the equipment and performance requirements of this standard.  NFPA 96; Chap. 4; Sect. 4.1.1. 2017 Ed.

I-402    Residential type cooking equipment may be protected by a listed self contained residential hood over each cooking surface,  with the exhaust hood vented directly to the outside of the building .  There shall be an automatic fire suppression system installed in each hood that shall automatically disconnect electric power to electric stoves or shut off the ga supply to gas fueled stoves  NFPA 96; Chap. 1; Sect. 1.1.4(1), (2);  2017 Ed. 

I-404    The installing contractor of an exhaust hood and grease removal system shall obtain the required permit from the City of Johns Creek Fire Marshals Office prior to the installation of the system. They shall provide 2 sets of scale drawings and specifications for the hood and duct systems, complying with the requirements of NFPA 96;  2017 Ed.  Authority Having Jurisdiction

I-406    The submitted exhaust hood plans appear to comply with code requirements at this time.

I-408    Automatic fire extinguishing equipment shall be provided for this project.  NFPA 96; Chap. 10; 2017 Ed. The fire extinguishing equipment shall be installed per the following NFPA Standards; 12, 13, 17, 17A, and 750.

I-410    The installing contractor for the automatic fire suppression system shall obtain a permit from the City of Johns Creek Fire Marshals Office prior to any system installation.  They shall provide 2 sets of plans, specifications and the required forms for the system.  The forms are available on our website.  Authority Having Jurisdiction

I-701    Provide a storage racking plan for any storage area where racking is installed and combustible materials are stored over 12 ft. above the finished floor.  Provide elevation views of the racks with storage height dimensions. 4' shall be added to the top shelf to determine the actual storage height The storage racking plan shall be reviewed and permitted prior to the installation of the racks.  IFC; Chap. 1; Sect. 104.7.2;  2012 Ed.

I-702    Hazardous operations in new and existing Places of Assembly shall comply with the requirements of NFPA 101 LSC; Chap. 12; Sect. 12.3.2.1 and Chap. 13 ; Sect. 13.3.2.1;  2018 Ed.
