Arts, Culture & Entertainment Committee

Purpose 

This Committee shall:
  • Study and make recommendations to the City Council concerning Public Art, Cultural Activities and Entertainment in the City. 
  • Review applications and make recommendations on art proposed in public properties.
  • Present updates to Council as requested.
The Arts, Culture and Entertainment Committee will review externally submitted applications or generate suggestions for City Council on traditional art pieces as well as cultural and/or entertainment events that may enhance the City’s current special event offerings. 
 
The committee will consist of nine members who shall be appointed for a term of one or two years.

*Note: The Arts, Culture & Entertainment (ACE) Committee was formed in May 2022 after City Council approved a change in ordinance to combine the Arts & Culture Board and Public Art Board. The combination of the two boards into ACE establishes a process for public art applications including a public process and consideration by the City Council and establishes purpose, composition, terms, qualifications, and meeting frequency for the committee.
