The Veterans Memorial Walk at Newtown Park stands as symbol of remembrance and respect for all the men and women who have and currently serve in the United States Armed Services. The five-acre memorial features a hard scaped trail, circling a newly installed fountain, sponsored granite benches, a grand entrance plaza, and wooden gazebo. Along the trail, black granite monuments pay homage to each conflict, beginning with WWI and include special monuments for Purple Heart Recipients, POW/MIAs, and Women in Service.
In 2020, The Wall That Heals, a 250-foot replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, was added to the Veterans Memorial Walk.
The Memorial Walk is sponsored by the Johns Creek Veterans Association and the organization works to ensure the entire memorial is constructed using donations.
Johns Creek Veterans Association
The Johns Creek Veterans Association strives to honor and remember those who served or are currently serving in any capacity. The JCVA invites veterans of any branch of the U.S. military who reside in or near Johns Creek to join the Johns Creek Veterans Association, a non-profit service and social organization. The JCVA meets at 6 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month at the Park Place Senior Center in Newtown Park. Click here for the complete meeting schedule.

Leave a Lasting legacy
The Veterans Memorial Walk would not have been possible without all of the generous donations and sponsors. Please continue to support this effort and further development of this amazing monument to our service women and men. Contact the JCVA for details.
