Adaptive Recreation Programs

The City provides recreational opportunities for individuals with special needs along with their families.

These programs and events are designed to expose participants to new experiences; enhance self-esteem, self-confidence, and independence; and promote community involvement.


Adaptive Recreation Bingo Night

Join us for Bingo Night! Parents are encouraged to drop off young adults to enjoy an evening of bingo, pizza, drinks, prizes and fun! Register on the City website.

Date: Friday, May 17 & Friday, July 26
Time: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Location: Park Place inside Newtown Park, 3125 Old Alabama Road
Cost: Free


Adaptive Recreation Dance Night

Join us for an evening of light refreshments, a DJ, glow sticks, and lots of fun! Parents are encouraged to drop off young adults age 15 and older to enjoy the dance event. Free!

Date: Friday, Oct. 11, 2024
Time: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Location: Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater at Newtown Park, 3150 Old Alabama Road

Adaptive Recreation Lunch with Santa

You are invited to Lunch with Santa! Join us for food, music, and fun! Santa will be available for photographs. (Parents: please bring your own camera). Registration for this event begins Nov. 1.

Date: Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023
Time: 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Location: Park Place at Newtown School
Cost: Free! Pre-registration is required.


North Fulton United

North Fulton United is a unified soccer league based in Johns Creek. Unified sports team athletes with disabilities with their non-disabled peers. The league has more than 100 athletes and unified partners.
