The City of Johns Creek-Macy's Diwali Festival of Lights will be held at Shakerag Park in on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.! The festivities include a wonderful feast of food, music, and dance, including a traditional Rangoli display and vendor booths.
Come to enjoy the festive atmosphere as well as delicious Indian food, music, and dancing featuring classical Kathak and Bharatanatyam to Bhangra and popular Bollywood dances, and kids' activities. The night ends with a spectacular display of fireworks that are sure to leave lasting memories.
What is Diwali? It is the five-day Festival of Lights celebrated by millions. The holiday symbolizes new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.
