At its meeting Sept. 12, Johns Creek City Council proclaimed support for the No Shame Campaign, which combats stigma in getting help for mental health and addiction.
The Stop the Addiction Fatality Epidemic (SAFE) Project’s No Shame Campaign encourages individuals to provide a no-shame environment by supporting those in our community seeking to address addiction and mental health challenges and committing to learn more about stigma and addiction.
Members of One Johns Creek, a coalition of community partners and individuals who work together to reduce youth drug use and promote a thriving culture of wellness in our community, were presented with the proclamation at the City Council meeting.
