Beginning Dec. 1, the City of Johns Creek is upgrading to a new and improved permit, plan review, and business management system called EnerGov.
To make a successful transition to EnerGov, the Community Development Department and Revenue Division will be
CLOSED to all new business on Nov. 24, 29, & 30.
During the transition:
- No new permit applications will be accepted and/or issued
- Inspections, plan reviews, and scheduled meetings will continue
- Limited service payments for: Business Occupation Tax, Alcoholic Beverage License, Massage and/or Spa Establishments & Pouring Permits will be accepted in form of credit card authorization forms, checks, cashier’s check, or money order but held for processing beginning Wednesday, Dec. 1
- Regular business will resume on Wednesday, Dec. 1.
EnerGov will provide a new and improved system:
- Online application submission with 24/7 access to every aspect of the permitting process
- Application and permit, project tracking with an online dashboard
- Electronic plan submission and review (paper plan submissions will continue for a limited time)
- Secure electronic payment
- Scheduling building and site inspections online
- Ability to upload/attach documents with application submittals
- Contractor registration eliminates need to submit licenses with every application
- Clear instructions for documents and information needed for each permit application
