Johns Creek re-opening select parks and facilities on May 15

The City of Johns Creek plans re-opening select public parks and facilities on Friday, May 15. With a goal of promoting active recreation and ensuring the health and safety of city residents and visitors, the city requests park guests maintain social distancing and follow the CDC Guidelines for Visiting Recreational Areas when visiting any Johns Creek recreation and park facility. 

Available Park Facilities:

  • Athletic Fields (no organized play)
  • Tennis / Pickleball Courts  
  • Track at Shakerag Park
  • Picnic Pavilions (no groups larger than 10)
  • Park Restrooms (limited to accessible park areas only)
  • All walking trails
  • Bocce Ball Courts 
  • Volleyball Courts
  • Cricket batting bages
  • Baseball batting cages

Facilities to Remain Closed:

  • Basketball Courts 
  • Playgrounds 
  • Newtown Dog Park 
  • Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater
  • Park Place Senior Center
  • Newtown Park Community Clubhouse
  • Autrey Mill Nature Preserve’s Visitors Center & Indoor Facilities

Cancelled Park Programs and Events (Until Further Notice):

  • June 5, Summer Concert Event at Newtown Park
  • June 12, Movies at Newtown Park
  • Lego Camp for June 1-5 
  • All Park Association Athletic Programs & Leagues
  • Clubhouse Fitness Classes
  • Free Outdoor Fitness Classes
  • Park Place Senior Center Programs and Events
  • All Adaptive Recreation Programs & Events
  • All Park Facility Rentals
  • All 3rd Party Special Events
