The Johns Creek Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee (RPAC) currently has a board post available to fill the unexpired term of Post I, (current term expires Feb. 28, 2020).

The RPAC serves as an advisory board to the city council in matters of policy and administration of the city-owned parks and recreational programs operated within the city-owned parks.  This committee submits recommendations on policies and proposed ordinances to council on matters they deem important for the community.  The city council is not required to act upon these recommendations.  All members must reside in the city while they serve and shall regularly attend monthly meetings.  The RPAC currently meets at 6:30 p.m. the third Wednesday of the month.

The self-nomination period is open for 30 days (May 17 – June 17), all nominees are then provided to council members for their review.  Council recommendations are then provided to the Mayor, who reviews all recommendations and provides his nominees to the Council for their consideration.  This board appointment is scheduled to be filed during the Aug. 19, 2019 City Council Meeting.
