Buice Road traffic calming measures meeting set for Jan. 11

January 04, 2018

The Johns Creek city staff is conducting a public information meeting to present an initial concept and receive community feedback regarding changes to traffic calming measures along Buice Road.  The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 11 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. at Municipal Court / Police Department headquarters, 11445 Johns Creek Parkway.  In addition to a brief presentation, the staff will have preliminary concept drawings on display and will be available to answer questions.
The City of Johns Creek needs to remove the speed tables on Buice Road (between Jones Bridge Road and Kimball Bridge Road) and replace them with a more comprehensive and attractive traffic calming infrastructure.  Our number one priority is slowing down traffic for the safety of the residents along Buice Road.  We believe that working together we can develop a plan that will enhance pedestrian safety and maintain property values.
We hope you are available to attend our initial meeting.  We will also post the proposed plan online following the meeting where the public will be able to provide additional feedback.  We will hold follow on meetings as necessary.
