Sept. 11 Commemoration planned at Burkhalter Amphitheater

The community is invited to reflect upon the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks during a commemoration event held at the Burkhalter Amphitheater on Monday, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m.
The free event will honor the service and sacrifices of first responders and will include a narration of the timeline of events from Sept. 11, 2001, from the perspective of first responders. The event will also include the Johns Creek Veterans Association Color Guard, patriotic music, a moment of silence, and ringing of a memorial bell in honor of the fallen.
The remembrance event will feature remarks by Johns Creek Mayor Mike Bodker, Mayor Pro Tem Steve Broadbent, and an appearance by Johns Creek Fire and Police departments.
Donations will be accepted for the Johns Creek Public Safety Foundation. The event is hosted in partnership with the Rotary Club of Johns Creek – North Fulton.
The Burkhalter Amphitheater is located inside Newtown Park at 3150 Old Alabama Road, Johns Creek, GA 30022.
