Former Johns Creek Community Development Director passes away

Mike WilliamsThe City of Johns Creek was saddened to learn that former Community Development Director, Michael “Mike” Williams passed away yesterday following a long illness.  Mike provided exceptional service to the City from its incorporation in 2006 until his retirement in 2014.  He had a long career in public service locally with Gwinnett County and the City of Johns Creek.  He is remembered as a model public servant, a great leader, and a wonderful person.  Our condolences go out to his family and friends.  He will be missed. 
 
A memorial service will be held for him at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, at Saint Andrews Presbyterian.  Saint Andrews is located at 4882 LaVista Road in Tucker.  Mayor Bodker will be attending the funeral to represent the City of Johns Creek.
