Brumbelow Road Sidewalk & Pedestrian Bridge

Crews began construction in November 2017 on the installation of a half-mile long 10 foot wide sidewalk including a pedestrian bridge along Brumbelow Road from Mackinac Drive to Stoney Ridge Drive.

The sidewalk installation fills a gap in connectivity, which will connect Nesbit Ferry Road to Old Alabama Road and Newtown Park. A pedestrian bridge will be added where the road crosses a narrow bridge that currently prevents pedestrians from traveling safely on this corridor.

The cost of the project is $996,013 and is expected to be completed in Summer 2018.
