Overview

Johns Creek sits at a crossroads and is an attractive throughway for many daily commuters and those looking to avoid congestion on GA 400 and I-85.  According to cellular phone data collected by AirSage, which is a real-time location based service provider, 53 percent of all trips through Johns Creek had origins and destinations outside of our city.  According to the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 110,000 people have moved into surrounding communities since 2010 with more on the way.

The Public Works Department is aggressively working to address traffic congestion citywide. That often means working with our partners at the Georgia Department of Transportation, the Atlanta Regional Commission, and neighboring jurisdictions. The City has produced or has participated in many planning initiatives listed here.
