A life-long resident of Atlanta, Council member Leonard "Lenny" Zaprowski
brings many years of community service to his position on Post 1. Most recently, he served on the City's Zoning Board of Appeals prior to his election to City Council in 2013.
His community service involves many roles at St. Brigid Catholic Church, including ushering, coaching youth sports, and being an active member of the Men's Club and officer with the Knights of Columbus chapter at the church.
Zaprowski served on the Local School Advisory Council (LSAC) for Fulton County Schools. His coaching experience also includes youth sports at the Ed Isakson/Alpharetta YMCA, Newtown Park and Holy Redeemer School.
He worked for the Environmental Protection Agency for three years prior to becoming a licensed chiropractor in 1996. He was Clinic Director of Georgia Back Pain and Rehab (1996-1999), and founded two private practices - Health Source Chiropractic and Rehab, and Chiropractic Health Center of Alpharetta, where he currently practices.
Zaprowski is a graduate of Marist High School and holds an undergraduate degree in management from Georgia Institute of Technology. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, Georgia.
He lives in the Newtown community of Johns Creek with his daughter, Carlin. They are members of St. Brigid Catholic Church.
