Join us for a ‘Walk with a Doc!’
Join us Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, for Walk with a Doc (WWAD), a health program that brings doctors and patients together. The walk begins at 10 a.m. at Newtown Park, at the Veterans Memorial Walk. The walks take place on the second Saturday of each month, weather permitting.
Presented in partnership with Emory Johns Creek Hospital, every walk will feature a different health topic, each selected to provide information and the opportunity for walkers to ask questions one-on-one with the participating physician. The event is free and open to people of all ages.
The November walk will be hosted by Dr. Adedapo Odetoyinbo, from Emory Johns Creek Hospital
. Dr. Odetoyinbo is a Hospitalist and specializes in Internal Medicine.
Hospital medicine is a type of practice within internal medicine in which the clinical focus is caring for hospitalized patients. Internists practicing hospital medicine are frequently called “hospitalists.” Although not all hospitalists are required to be internists, the nature of internal medicine training uniquely prepares internists for hospital medicine practice. As a result, the vast majority of hospitalists are trained in internal medicine, usually general internal medicine.
