New Independence Day celebration event set for July 1

Independence Day eventStart a new tradition complete with a picnic, music, and fireworks at the City of Johns Creek’s new Independence Day Celebration at Newtown Park. 

Saturday, July 1, beginning at 6 p.m. celebrate our country’s independence with friends and family. Grab a spot on the terraced amphitheater lawn with a home-packed picnic or delicious food from Flatbread Bistro, Angel Fire BBQ, and King of Pops. Hurricane Grill will be serving cold beer and wine. 

Sit back and relax as Band-X rocks the Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater beginning at 7 p.m. Band-X is a high-energy group of talented musicians and lead singers dedicated to providing interactive live entertainment. Playing hits from the 70's, 80's, 90's and current favorites, Band X is well known for their high-energy performances sure to get you on your feet!

And if that’s not enough, top-off the night with a fireworks extravaganza!  Fireworks will begin after sunset.
