Johns Creek to participate in Building Safety Month event May 6

Building Safety MonthLearn about residential building safety from City of Johns Creek staff during a National Building Safety Month event on Saturday, May 6, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Home Depot (5950 State Bridge Road) in Johns Creek.
 
To help raise awareness of building safety, City of Johns Creek Building Department/SAFEbuilt staff will be available to answer residential building and safety questions during the event. There will also be informational safety handouts, refreshments, and activities for kids.
 
“We’re happy to help residents make their homes safer by providing some informative safety information,” said Johns Creek Chief Building Official Kimberly Craig. “People want their homes to be safe, and it can be if they follow some basic guidelines – including ensuring homes are up to code.”
 
Residents can visit BuildingSafetyMonth.org, which provides helpful building safety hints. Information is also available at City Hall, 12000 Findley Road, Johns Creek.
