Be prepared to move and dance the night away at the final summer concert of the season at Newtown Park featuring “The Shadowboxers,” on Saturday, Sept. 24.
“The Shadowboxers” is an American pop band formed in Atlanta, Georgia. Their musical approach comes out of a shared reverence for the sacred texts of rock and soul, from the Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel to Stevie Wonder and D’Angelo. According to www.NashvilleScene.com
they have the Tennessee town buzzing, thanks to their champions “include the Indigo Girls, Reba McEntire, Chris Stapleton and Memphis-bred buddy Justin Timberlake.”
While food and non-alcoholic drinks may be brought in, contracted vendors provide a variety of catered food and beverages, including beer and wine. The Cattywampus Grill food truck will be on-site selling food and Sno Bayou will be the on-site treats vendor. Seating is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome on the terraced lawn. The concerts are free.
Gates open at 6 p.m. Music starts at 7 p.m. with School of Rock as the opening act and The Shaddowboxers to follow.
Reserved tables that seat eight under the amphitheater are available and can be reserved online
