Sept. 11 Commemoration planned at Newtown Park Amphitheater

FlagThe community is invited to reflect upon the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks during a commemoration event held at the Newtown Park Amphitheater on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 2 p.m.
 
The free event features a keynote address by Lisa Dernovish, vice commander of the Alpharetta American Legion Post #201, and remarks by Johns Creek Mayor Mike Bodker. Members of the Johns Creek police and fire departments will also be in attendance.
 
The commemoration, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Johns Creek – North Fulton, will include patriotic music, a moment of silence and ringing of a memorial bell in honor of the fallen.
 
The Newtown Park Amphitheater is located at 3150 Old Alabama Road, Johns Creek, GA 30022.
