Johns Creek hires new Finance Director

City HallThe City of Johns Creek is pleased to announce the hiring of Toni Jo Howard, CPA, CGFM as its new Finance Director. 
 
Howard was selected from a pool of more than 130 interested candidates and brings a mix of both public and private sector experience to the City’s Finance Department.  Howard’s extensive experience in all aspects of finance and accounting combined with her leadership skills, forward thinking mentality, and passion for public service, stood out during the interview process.
 
Howard’s background and experience are viewed as the right fit as the City continues to move forward with improvements to its budget forecasting, analysis, and management. 
 
Her previous finance positions include a management position with First Data, Interim City Administrator and Finance Director for the City of Smyrna; Assistant CFO/Controller for the Fayette County Board of Commissioners; Audit Manager at Cherry, Bekaert, and Holland, LLP; and Senior Auditor for the State of Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts. 
 
Howard is a Certified Public Accountant in both Virginia and Georgia with a Masters of Professional Accounting and Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from West Georgia University, a Certified Government Finance Manager, and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
