Johns Creek Fire Department fights house fire possibly caused by fireworks

Johns Creek Fire DepartmentThe Johns Creek Fire Department responded to a house fire early Tuesday morning that investigators believe was caused by fireworks. No one was injured.
 
The fire was reported about 12:15 a.m. after the family and their visitors evacuated the house and called 911. One of the visitors went outside and saw the fire and alerted the occupants inside.
 
The attic of the two-story home, located at 4825 Morton Chase Dr., was heavily damaged by fire, smoke and water. The Fire Department responded with three fire engines and a ladder truck, and quickly extinguished the fire.
 
The investigation is continuing.
