The Johns Creek Founders Day Parade on Saturday, Dec. 3 will feature some regular favorites with the return of the Seed & Feed Marching Abominable, Yaarab Shriners, princesses from Olivia’s Dollhouse, National Corvette Restorers Society Members, Gaudiya Vaishnava Association, Kaiser Permanente Educational Theater – and more! And, the Gwinnett Braves mascot “Chopper” is making his first Founders Day Parade appearance!
The annual Founders Day Parade, which begins at 10 a.m., is a celebration of the City’s incorporation in 2006. The 1.4 mile-long parade has grown in popularity with thousands of spectators lining the parade route on State Bridge Road.
Enter your civic group, homeowner association, scout troop, or business to be in the parade lineup! The deadline for entering your organization is Nov. 17 and the theme this year is “10 Year Anniversary: Be the Exception.”
Competition is spirited as groups and organizations vie for Best Subdivision, Best Business/Civic Group, and Best School/Scout float.
When you do your planning, remember that there's only one Santa, and he rides in a fire truck at the end.
