​JCSO teams with youth orchestra for classical ‘Side by Side’ concert Feb. 27

SymphonyThe Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra is collaborating with the Georgia Piedmont Youth Orchestra and its conductor Rolando Salazar for a Feb. 27 performance “Side by Side!” on Feb. 27.

Johns Creek Symphony OrchestraThe professional musicians and their younger counterparts will share the stage at Johns Creek High School Theater as they play a broad classical selection, such as “Academic Festival Overture” by Brahms, “Prelude to Die Meistersinger” by Wagner, and “Danse Bacchanale from Samson and Delilah” by Saint-Saens.

The performance starts at 8 p.m. At intermission, the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra returns under the direction of Maestro J. Wayne Baughman to play Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 5.”

Tickets cost $32 for adults, $27 for seniors 55 years or older, and $16 for students and children.
