November 03, 2015

Tree & Dreidel LightingThe traditional Santa Jam tree and dreidel lightings at Johns Creek City Hall on Nov. 30 will feature Santa, his reindeer, and other festivities to kick off the 2015 holiday season.

Festivities start at 6:30 p.m. with Christmas carols by the State Bridge Crossing Elementary School Chorus, followed by the lighting of the tree and dreidel at 12000 Findley Road in Johns Creek.

Old St. Nick will hear youngsters’ wish lists. Free hot chocolate and hotdogs will be available while they last, and s’mores, too. There will be crafts, face-painting, and kids' activities, including trackless train rides. The Santa Jam celebration concludes at 8:30 p.m.

People can sign a montage of card designs submitted by Johns Creek elementary schools fifth graders. The cards will be given to veterans at the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center on Dec. 11. The cards also can be signed that week at City Hall.
