People love the Outdoor Fitness program offered by the Johns Creek Recreation and Parks Division, so the City is extending the new – and free – program into the fall.
Outdoor Fitness will now run through Oct. 18.
Every other Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., people come to the Newtown Park Amphitheater and exercise in the open air. Classes are taught by certified instructors and all fitness levels are welcome. Participants must be at least 16 years old. No advance registration is required. Sign-in begins at 8:30 a.m.
Yoga classes are set for Aug. 9 and Aug. 23. In the fall, classes will alternate between Yoga and Zumba.
Sept. 6 – Yoga
Sept. 20 - Zumba
Oct. 4 – Yoga
Oct. 18 – Zumba
All participants must bring their own Yoga mats, although no equipment is needed for Zumba.
