Georgia DOT seeking public input on plans to widen Abbotts Bridge Road

The Georgia Department of Transportation will conduct a public information open house on Thursday about proposed widening of Abbotts Bridge Road between Medlock Bridge and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.

Georgia DOT is inviting residents of Johns Creek and Duluth to learn about its plan to widen State Route 120/ Abbotts Bridge Road from two lanes to four lanes.

The informal open house is at City Council chambers from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 23, at City Council chambers at Johns Creek City Hall, 12000 Findley Rd., Suite 300, Johns Creek, Georgia 30097. The public can ask questions and leave comments about the proposed widening for SR 120/ Abbotts Bridge Road.

“The project also proposes to construct sidewalks, add bike lanes, and to build a roundabout at Parsons Road and Wilson Road,” said Sam Samu, GDOT Project Manager. “We encourage residents to attend the open house to learn more about the proposed project and give their input.”

Residents can record their comments at the open house. Written statements can be submitted until Monday, Aug. 24 to:
