Food & fun set for special needs residents at May 9 picnic

Summer Kick-Off PicnicJohns Creek's special needs residents and their families can socialize, eat, and play as part of City’s Adaptive Recreation program at the Summer Kick-Off Picnic on May 9 at the Park Place lawn at Newtown Park.

The festivities include free hotdogs and hamburgers (while they last), ice cream, music, and a chance to learn to play bocce ball, enjoy other activities and meet Johns Creek police and firefighters.

The picnic is part of the Johns Creek Recreation and Parks Division's Adaptive Recreation program for Johns Creek residents with special needs, and is sponsored by the City, Johns Creek Civitan Club and the Johns Creek, Northview and Chattahoochee high school Junior Civitan clubs. 

This free event is open to people of all ages, but attendees must pre-register. The fun starts at 11 a.m. and closes at 1 p.m.
