Johns Creek residents can now vote early in the runoff elections for three Johns Creek City Council races. Early voting ends Nov. 25.
Runoffs between the top two vote-getters are required when no candidate receives more than 50 percent of the votes cast.
Two of the races involve Post 2. One race, which features Todd Burkhalter and Chris Coughlin, fills an unexpired term that ends Dec. 31, 2015. The seat was vacated by Brad Raffensperger, who ran for state senate. The second race, which features Coughlin and Jay Lin, is a full four-year term that starts in January, 2016.
The third race, for Post 5, involves Nazeera Dawood and Stephanie Endres, who are vying to fill the unexpired term of Kelly Stewart, who resigned to run for state senate. The term expires Dec. 31, 2017.
Early voting will be held weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 16-25 at the Robert F. Fulton Ocee Branch Library, 5090 Abbotts Bridge Road, Alpharetta, and at the Fulton County Government Center, 130 Peachtree St. SW, Atlanta. Residents can vote Saturday, Nov. 21, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Ocee Branch Library.
