Clubhouse Fitness offers blend of high-intensity, dance for July-August

June 01, 2015

ZumbaJohns Creek Clubhouse Fitness is offering a new class for its July-August session that combines the high-calorie burn of interval training with a popular dance style – Zumba Burst!

Zumba Burst incorporates interval training moves in a shorter 30- to 45-minute dance fitness class. It uses longer lunges or a deeper squat in a fun dance fitness party atmosphere. Interval training employs exercising hard for short periods of time mixed with slower-paced exercises to give you time to recover.  Classes are offered at 11:45 a.m. on Thursdays so you can make the most of your lunch hour.

Clubhouse Fitness also offers other styles of Zumba, plus Yoga, Pilates and Barre. See the City website for details. [View flyer.]

Classes, which are 45 to 75 minutes long, meet once a week for eight weeks beginning the week of July 7 (no classes the week of July 27 to Aug. 2). Session costs $50 for residents and $75 for non-residents for eight-week courses. Or you can sign up for seven weeks at $44 for residents and $66 for non-residents. All fitness levels are welcome. Registration is now open and closes June 26.

All sessions are taught by certified instructors and are held at the Newtown Community Clubhouse located at Newtown Park at 3115 Old Alabama Rd. Participants must be at least 16 years old.
