Movies at Newtown Park features 'Frozen' on July 12

Frozen movieAll "Frozen" fans are invited to join two "live princesses" at a July 12 screening of the Disney animated blockbuster at Movies at Newtown Park in Johns Creek.

Princesses Anna and Elsa will mingle with "Frozen" fans before the movie. "Frozen," rated PG, is about Anna, a fearless princess who sets off on an epic journey with a rugged mountain man, his loyal reindeer, and a hapless snowman to find her estranged sister, Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom in eternal winter.

Movies at Newtown Park, now in its eighth year, is a free series of family-friendly films shown on an inflatable screen in a picnic atmosphere at Newtown Park. The third movie, which is yet to be selected, is set for Aug. 9.

In addition to the films, Movies at Newtown Park includes pre-show entertainment like inflatable moonwalk, face-painting, children's activities, give-aways, music, food and drinks. Pre-show activities start at 7 p.m., and the movie starts around 9 p.m.

The movies start at dusk. Families are encouraged to bring blankets and relax as they watch the movie. No alcohol or pets please.

All movies in the series are rated G or PG. The 2014 Movies at Newtown Park series is being sponsored by Northside Hospital.
