Johns Creek to conduct public hearings on 2015 budget

BudgetThe City of Johns Creek is conducting a series of public hearings in September on the City's proposed $68.9 million ($49.9 million general fund) budget for fiscal year 2015.

The budget will be discussed by the City Council at a 5 p.m. work session on Sept. 8. Public hearings will be held during the 7 p.m. council meetings on Sept. 8 and Sept. 22.

The Council is tentatively scheduled to approve the budget Sept. 22 following the second hearing. All hearings will be held in City Council chambers on the 3rd floor of City Hall at 12000 Findley Rd.

The City Council approved a property tax rate of 4.614 mills for 2014, the same rate established when the City was founded in 2006.

The fiscal year runs Oct. 1 to Sept. 30.
