Icing continues to be an occasional problem on some sections of roads citywide, but all roads are open and safe for travel. Motorists are advised to be cautious as they may come up on black ice with no warning. Drivers should keep a safe distance between vehicles and maintain a safe speed. They also should be watchful for abandoned vehicles on the side of some roads.
Crews spent Thursday pouring sand and salt mixture on icy patches, and will continue to treat potentially dangerous spots as long as the threat of ice persists.
