Johns Creek appoints residents to new Arts & Culture Board

Arts & Culture BoardAt the Sept. 22 City Council meeting, seven Johns Creek residents were appointed to the City's new Arts and Culture Board to make recommendations on promoting the arts and helping enrich the City's cultural scene.

The inaugural board members are Kirk Wilson, Deanna Maust, Kamini Anand, Brigid Yeager, Jacquie Tracy, Rae Prall and Ron Cioffi, all of whom were officially confirmed at the meeting.

"We welcome these board members and thank them for their eagerness to enhance their community," said Mayor Mike Bodker. "The arts, in all forms, are not only a catalyst for economic development and sustainability; they are an integral part of our future plans in Johns Creek and vital to our quality of life."

The Arts & Culture Board will make quarterly recommendations about policies and proposed programs or artwork in Johns Creek to the Mayor and City Council.

Each board member is appointed to a 2-year term and may serve consecutive terms.
