Dispose of expired, unused drugs at Johns Creek's 'Take Back Day' Sept. 27

September 12, 2014

Dispose of expired or leftover pharmaceutical drugs on Saturday, Sept. 27, at Target in Johns Creek as part of the Johns Creek Police and Drug Enforcement Administration's 'National Take Back' initiative.

Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., anyone with old, unwanted, or excess pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medicines can turn them in anonymously to JCPD officers in the parking lot of Target, 5950 State Bridge Rd., in Johns Creek.

The event, sponsored by the Johns Creek Police Department in conjunction with the DEA, is designed to: reduce prescription drug abuse; reduce the risk of prescription drugs entering the water (DO NOT FLUSH drugs down the toilet); and help people comply with the law regarding disposal of prescription drugs.
