The Johns Creek Police Traffic Safety Unit's highest priority is to ensure the safety of all those who use Johns Creek streets and roadways, and reduce the number of vehicle accidents in the city.
The Unit is also responsible for the investigation of: hit and runs, serious injuries, fatality wrecks, DUI enforcement, traffic complaints, speed surveys, coordination of traffic control for special events, and traffic law enforcement.
The Unit carries out its responsibilities by:

Enforcing vehicle and traffic laws and regulations.

Compiling, analyzing, and sharing data on accident causes.

Providing education on safe driving to schools, civic organizations, and teen traffic violators through STOP, the JCPD/Municipal Court's Teen Driver Safety Intervention Program.
The Traffic Safety Unit regularly participates in state and national driving safety initiatives such as Operation Zero Tolerance and Click it or Ticket.
