There are four City parks with approximately 201 acres. Each has its own unique amenities and reserve-able areas:  Autrey Mill Nature Preserve & Heritage Center, Newtown Park (including a Dog Park), Ocee Park and Shakerag Park.

The park spaces range from playing fields, playgrounds and picnic areas to more passive areas preserving historic groves of oak trees and creek areas perfect for hiking.

Nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts have an additional resource with five units of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, a National Park spread over a 48 mile section of the Chattahoochee River, either in or just outside the city limits.
