The Johns Creek Fire Department (JCFD) was launched October 7, 2008. Prior to that, life safety and fire protection services were provided by Fulton County for more than 30 years.

Fire Chief Jeff HoganThe JCFD is led by Fire Chief Jeff Hogan, who served many years with the Fulton County Fire Department before helping establish the JCFD. He has more than 28 years of professional firefighting experience in Metro Atlanta.

Seventy-eight firefighters and two administrators make up the JCFD. Twenty-six members are licensed paramedics, with 43 members licensed as intermediate EMTs (emergency medical technicians).

They are housed at three fire stations (see live map):

  • Station #61:  10265 Medlock Bridge Parkway;
  • Station #62:  10925 Rogers Circle; and
  • Station #63:  3165 Old Alabama Road.

JCFD badge on firefighter's sworn statementWith the launch of the department, the City purchased two custom-made Pierce 100-foot ladder trucks, three custom-made Pierce engines and two transport capable Rescues, sometimes referred to as Quick Response Vehicles (QRVs), which, in the event of a delay in ambulance service, can transport a critically injured person to a hospital.

Ambulance service in Johns Creek is provided by Rural/Metro Corporation.

All 911 calls placed within the jurisdiction of Johns Creek are dispatched to police, fire and emergency responders by ChatComm, the city's joint 911 Emergency Communications Center with Sandy Springs, Ga.
