Annual Audit (CAFR)
Following an independent audit of the City's finances by a certified public accounting firm, the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is produced by the city Finance Director and presented to City Council.
A CAFR provides a statement of net assets, statement of activities, statement of revenues, expenditures and changes in fund balances, notes to the financial statements for the City as a whole, along with individual fund statements. In future years the report will include a column of the previous year's financial activity.
The city prepares and submits its CAFR to the Government Finance Officers Association for consideration of a Certificate of Achievement.
