Johns Creek Fire brings fire safety to local youth
National Fire Prevention Week, Oct. 3-9, 2010
10/5/2010
There's no better time to learn about fire safety than during National Fire Prevention Week, October 3-9, so hundreds of students from Johns Creek preschools and elementary schools are scheduled to visit the city's three fire stations throughout the week for fire safety demonstrations presented by Johns Creek Firefighters.
For other young students, Johns Creek Firefighters will take their "show on the road" and visit area preschools and elementary schools to demonstrate age-appropriate, basic fire safety.
Johns Creek residents are also invited to bring their children and stop by a station during National Fire Prevention Week, anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, for fire safety information. (Large groups are encouraged to call ahead and confirm an appointment.)
