Want to find the latest listing of restaurants? Hunting a business's website?
As part of the pro-business Choose to Use Johns Creek campaign, the Revenue Division is re-formatting its business listings to help people find important information about local companies and franchises.
Effective May 1, businesses in the online city business directory will be broken down by 12 categories. What's more, the City now can list business websites.
Listing businesses' Web addresses does not constitute an endorsement by the city government, but is part of an effort to promote local business in general.
Thus far, few of the city's estimated 2,500 companies have a Web address on file, but they can submit this online with an Add Link request. Their link will be added to the business directory after verifying they have an active business tax certificate, commonly known as a business license.
The form for new business tax certificates has a spot for applicants to include the company website. Next year, renewal forms will also have a place to list the website.
