4/21/2010

MLB Pitch, Hit and RunTwenty four participants turned out for a hot, sun filled Saturday morning, April 17th, at Ocee Park for the City of Johns Creek Third Annual Pitch, Hit and Run Competition.

This competition is sponsored by Major League Baseball and Aquafina with the ultimate winners getting to showcase their skills at Major League Baseball's All Star game – to be held this season at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, home of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

The contestants participated in three categories:

  • pitching accuracy,
  • timed base running, and
  • hitting, which was a combination of accuracy and length of drive.

Congratulations to our twelve champions, who will represent the City of Johns Creek in a regional event the latter part of May.
