Members of the community, and JCPD employees, who are not able to make the 7 p.m. meeting, are invited to offer comments by phone at 678-474-1608 that morning, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Comments on the phone and at the session will be taken by the Assessment Team from CALEA.

CALEA's accreditation program requires law enforcement agencies to comply with state-of-the art standards in four (4) basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations and support services.

Established in 1979 by the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, the National Sheriffs' Association, and the Police Executive Research Forum, CALEA is recognized internationally as the key credentialing authority for law enforcement agencies.

"CALEA accreditation is the benchmark for the professional standards a law enforcement agency needs to meet today," said Johns Creek Police Chief Ed Densmore. "We welcome input from the Johns Creek community in this important process."
