Chipper

The Christmas tree that is busy making holiday memories right now can continue to serve a purpose long after the holidays have passed - just "Bring One for the Chipper" on Jan. 9.

Bring One for the Chipper is Georgia's annual Christmas tree recycling program, hosted by Keep Georgia Beautiful and locally by Keep North Fulton Beautiful in conjunction with the City of Johns Creek, WXIA 11Alive, The Home Depot and Davey Tree.

Drop off your Christmas tree to help protect the environment and get a free seedling for planting in return (while supplies last). Since its inception, the program has recycled over 4.8 million Christmas trees. Recycled trees can be used for mulch, fish habitat, fuel, and community beautification projects. Free mulch is available for a limited time from Davey Tree Co. by filling out this form.

The Johns Creek drop-off location is The Home Depot, 5950 State Bridge Road. Stop by between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
