JCPD Officer of the Quarter, Sgt. Jon Moses, center, is congratulated by his wife, Allison, and Police Chief Ed Densmore.

Sgt. Jon Moses has been named Johns Creek Police "Officer of the Quarter," for his outstanding service to the department during the third quarter of 2009.

"Moses is a diligent law enforcement professional. Focused on operations, he has played an integral part in the creation of the department and continues to contribute positively to its ongoing success," said Police Chief Ed Densmore.

Moses, a 15-year law enforcement veteran, has been with the department since its April 2008 launch, handling support services, including all technological needs.

"One of the most rewarding projects I've been assigned has been the launch of our own 9-1-1 Emergency Communications Center, 'Chattcom,'" said Moses. "It has been a fascinating opportunity to help start an emergency communications center from scratch."

Prior to joining Johns Creek, Moses served 14 years with the Fulton County Police as a patrol officer and detective, all of that time based on the Northside.

A native of Cobb County, Georgia, Moses earned a B.S. in biology from North Georgia College before entering a career in law enforcement. He and his family are 10-year residents of Johns Creek.
