City's CDBG draft plan now available for public review, comment
Council to hold public hearing June 8; adoption scheduled for July 27

The draft of the City of Johns Creeks Community Development Block Grant 2009-2013 Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan is now available for public review.
This plan identifies how the CDBG federal funds will be utilized to develop viable communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and opportunities to expand economic opportunities, principally for low and moderate income persons. You can review the plan online, at City Hall, and at the NE Spruill Oaks and Robert Fulton Ocee libraries.
The Mayor and City Council will hold a public hearing on the Consolidated Plan at its regular meeting June 8 starting at 7 pm. In addition, a 30-day public comment period will be observed from June 22 to July 24. Input may be submitted via email to . Final adoption of the plan is scheduled for July 27.
The CDBG entitlement funds are expected to be approximately $177,296 annually over the five-year period. Johns Creek plans to use the money to address Americans With Disabilities Act components to City parks as well as for programs targeting special-needs populations.
