Mail survey to gauge residents' parks & recreation perceptions, desires
Recipients asked to complete, return four-page questionnaire by June 26

Approximately 2,500 randomly selected Johns Creek residents soon will receive a mail survey asking for their opinions about the City's park facilities and recreation programs.
The four-page questionnaire is the latest part of the Recreation and Parks Division's first comprehensive master plan process.
The survey asks respondents to comment on their experiences with current programs and facilities, what they would like to see in the future and how the City might fund them.
Those who receive the survey are asked to complete and return it in the accompanying stamped envelope no later than June 26. For those who do not receive a mail version of the survey, an accompanying online version will be available on the City's Web site starting June 8.
"We ask that if you receive a survey in the mail, you please take a few minutes to complete and return it," said Kirk Franz, Recreation and Parks manager. "Citizen input is a crucial component of the master plan process and this survey is a critical part of that input. The more people who return the survey, the more reliable the results will be."
When completed, the plan will provide a 10-year roadmap for development of existing and future parks, recreational facilities and recreational programs. The City has contracted with Lose & Associates, a firm with over 25 years experience in park design and master planning to develop its plan. Lose has worked with cities and counties throughout the Southeast including Gwinnett, Rockdale and Cherokee counties as well as the City of Gainesville in Georgia and Williamson County, Tenn.
